Vesta Home Show 2014

Chestnut Hall interior designers collaborated on the interior design of The Porter, a home built by local builder Price Hays for the 2014 Vesta Home Show.  The designers sought to bridge the gaps between formal and casual, and playful and sophisticated, in a classic floorplan where common spaces had more than one function. Neutral tones in grays flowed through the house, with each space distinguished by additional layers of bold color in peacock blue, orange and green, and seafoam with lavender. A fresh pale green and white kitchen is the center of the home, bringing the outdoors in and giving a garden feel to the space. Along with selected pieces from Chestnut Hall's roster of local artists, a diverse collection of fine contemporary art from David Lusk Gallery adorned the walls. Photographer Allison Rodgers hung innovative and artful family portraits created in her Collierville studio.
